Sucquet
The original section of Cannes is the old quarter, Sucquet, which includes an ancient castle and a church dedicated to Notre Dame du Mont Esperance. The narrow winding streets are now full of restaurants and shops, with the view from the ruins of the castle affording the best view of Cannes in its entirety.

Neighborhoods
The covered Marche Forville is the main food market, and supplies the Cannois with their daily bread, fruit and vegetables. Vieux Le Cannet, a northern suburb of Cannes, has the reputation for being the most romantic and looks down over Cannes proper, the best vantage point coming from the Place Bellvue. Located on the enchanting Rue St.Sauver, the shops lining this quaint street are mainly artist ateliers that exude a traditional French sentiment.

A fashionable winter resort among Europeans for nearly a century, the neighborhoods of Cannes are thick with villas made of soft stone. The town, along with the surrounding area, is rich with antiquity, having been twice destroyed in the 8th and 10th centuries. With most of the architecture built in the Regency style, the city of Cannes is almost as chic and elegant as its inhabitants. A surfeit of art-deco bars and chi-chi restaurants underline the glamour that has been a part of this seaside idyll for several decades, but the true heart of Cannes as a culturally rich port town is never forgotten.

Port
The port of Cannes is a sprawling affair made up of 800 moorings, with 65 berths capable of accommodating yachts up to 145m. Considered the center of international events, the Port de Cannes located at the end of the Quai du large and nestled between two lighthouses. Though the size of this port is immense, the staff is as amenable and knowledgeable as though it were a boutique marina.
