The International award-winning Liebowitz & Pritchard Architecture + Yacht Design Ltd partnership offer distinctive designs for power and sail, newbuild and refit. Since 1991, our dynamic approach offers a unique bond between architectural drama, and the essential functional machine. The “LP” portfolio draws on diverse experience, historic precedence, tasteful creativity, and real-world operational knowledge as primary tools for project development with owners, captains, agents, shipyards, and technical partners.

 The LP design approach aims at creating bold, uncluttered, and harmonious designs that are innovative whilst avoiding cliché and pretension. By shaping the exterior and interior holistically, the team were able to integrate timeless architectural features such as indirect natural lighting, long sightlines, a sense of “promenade”, and perhaps most excitingly, varied height spaces. In short, LP aim to draw engagingly-proportioned environments, which in themselves give impact far beyond simple surface decoration.

During the earliest stages of planning a complex marine interior, the LP team stay mindful of crucial factors including: Crew operation and circulation, machinery accommodation, the latest code regulations, construction materials, “hotel” requirements, ergonomics and comfort at sea, room orientation, architectural style, artificial lighting, ventilation, acoustic control, furnishings and art presentation. Ultimately, a wide range of insightful design drawings and sketches will serve as the prime means to communicate our design intent to the shipyard’s construction team.

Since 1991, LP have collaborated with eminent clients from USA, United Kingdom, Japan, and Russia, along with top shipyards, including Derekctor (USA), Pendennis (UK), Icon Yachts (Holland), Lurssen (Germany) and CMN (France.)
