In the past, a thousand ships at a time could be seen leaving the port of Genoa. They left to trade and to conquer distant parts of the globe. The facility is one of the largest in Liguria and has dedicated its activities to the leisure sector since 1989. It occupies an area of 13,00 square metres, which hosts warehouses, workshops, offices, parking and 150 berths for vessels up to 45 metres, plus a refueling dock. Other important features are the inner berths that are always protected from the vagaries of the sea – it is no coincidence that many captains and owners choose to head for Cantieri Navali di Sestri even from very distant locations.
