Why did you start a jet company during the coronavirus?
Long before coronavirus, it has been my dream to build a luxury transportation empire covering road, air and sea. A large part of my Starr Luxury Cars business involves facilitating airport transfers. I saw an uptick in demand for private air travel from friends and clients, a trend that I'd seen with our self-drive car hires, as people want to travel safely with as little exposure to third parties as possible. 

How can the UHNW demographic enjoy your services, and how can they be tailored?
Due to the profile of our core customer base, we focus on creating an experience rather than a standard travel booking. We operate as a concierge service in this regard, specifically catering to the needs of each individual client. There really is no limit to the bespoke nature of a Starr luxury Jet request and what we can facilitate as our customers are unique, and so have preferences or indulgences that are one of a kind.

What kind of locations are on offer, and which is the most commonly requested?The world is your oyster - Ibiza, Monaco and the Greek Islands, are all popular European destinations particularly in the summer season. We also get a lot of requests for remote islands in the Caribbean such as Montserrat or French Polynesia. And of course, business travel is top of the destination list - New York, SA, and Russia

What is the most popular jet model requested and why?
The new Bombadier global express is our most requested jet due to its long range. It's perfect for long haul flights as it fits up to 16 passengers.

What extra services do you offer your jet customers?
We offer personal Chef and Butler services upon request as well as complimentary Starr Luxury Cars airport transfers for all UK based jet bookings.

What countries are unrestricted by private jet but restricted through commercial airlines?
Private jet flights aren't typically restricted by location which has always been one of the main benefits of private air travel. This is still the case now during COVID. However, for countries that do, for whatever reason, we ensure that our clients are aware and have the necessary paperwork to permit landing.

What are the COVID requirements when flying privately with you?
We take all necessary safety precautions to ensure that both our clients and staff are safe. We request that all passengers are tested before boarding and can arrange for testing to be done jet side if needs be.

What are your future goals for Starr Luxury Cars and Starr Luxury Jets?
The goal is to be the leader of luxury travel options worldwide.
