The brief for the 26.7-meter Jongert sailing yacht ICARUS was to build a pocket-size super sailing yacht that also would perform.
She has a deeper keel and taller rig to ad to the performance, hence she has won one Jongert Rally.
Icarus is equipped with an inner forestay to avoid pitching in heavy weather. The boat is stable, easy to sail and owners and guests will greatly enjoy their time on board.
She features lowering tables, so spaces double as lounge areas and her on-deck Jacuzzi adds to comfort. Nothing, however, beats her electric sliding deck-salon roof. Her exterior is modern with a bold metallic dark grey hull. She features teak decking, a large deck salon with the electric roof and electric windows offer shade and protection.
During the winter 2013, she underwent a complete rig refit and fore and aft PBO back and running back stays. The windlass and hydraulic motors, as well as both thrusters, were stripped and refitted to work like new again.
She is a very attractive yacht that can be sailed with a crew of two to three people, depending on level of service.
Accommodation
Icarus features a full beam owner’s cabin aft with an extra wide centerline double bed, a vanity, hull windows and an en-suite bathroom with rain shower and double sinks. Two twin bedded guest cabins are located forward of the owners cabin. Both cabins offer en-suite facilities.
