The service will launch in June at the McQueen store on Bond Street in Central London, with prices starting at £4,500 ($5,400).
Customers will be able to select from a single-breasted dinner jacket, a black cashmere double-breasted overcoat, and a black-and-white Prince of Wales check suit. Each bespoke piece will take approximately 12 weeks to make.
The move by the famous fashion house follows a recent report by global consultants Bain & Co revealing that the luxury menswear market has been growing at almost double the rate of womenswear.
Sarah Burton, Creative director at McQuneen, said: “We already offer couture for women, and wanted to add it for men. And our clients were asking for it.”
She added: “With this service we want to give them beautiful, handcrafted clothes, and emphasize artisanal work.”
Other major fashion houses offering bespoke fashion for men include Gucci, which unveiled its made-to-measure service campaign in October, and Burberry, which launched its online trench coat customization service in November.
