Renowned artist and designer Bernard Maquin has taken the game of Backgammon to the next level with his creation of the ultimate luxury set for ‘The Charles Hollander Collection’. Studded in diamonds from top to bottom, this exquisite Backgammon set is composed of 61,082 black, white and yellow diamonds weighing in at an astounding 2071.48 carat totality. The checkers have also been encrusted with 2690 white diamonds, and the set in general boasts a further 6.77kg and 150 grams of silver detailing.
Maquin invested over 10,000 hours of labour into this remarkable piece and has now put it up for auction on billionairexchange.com where it will remain until the 3rd of July, 2009. True collectors will want to get their bids in as quickly as possible in order to ensure their chance at acquiring this magnificent, one-off board game.
