Founder's Edition Cary Audio amplifier
Old becomes new again with the recent release from Cary Audio of their Founder's Edition of the CAD 211 amplifier.
Cary Audio may have been building the CAD 211 amplifier for the last 17 years, but you've never seen it designed quite like this. Cary has celebrated the longevity of it 211 with a special Founder's Edition model.
Each of these monophonic amplifiers deliver incredible power for a simple tube amplifier with 70 watts coming from the Class A mode, a big hit with sound purists and audiophiles while the intense 150 watts of the Class B mode is exclusive to the Founder's Edition.
Also exclusive to the Founder's Edition is a front panel bias meter to aid in adjustments to the amplifier while the tube is being replaced. The CAD 211 itself is coated in automotive paint instead of the more dreary, traditional black - ask for other colours if you're not a fan of jaguar anthracite, the standard paint coat. Be careful not to choose too boldy though, as the true focus of this amazing item should be the brilliant orange glow of the CAD211's 7-inch tall output tube.
The CAD 211 is based on circuit designs dating back to the 1940's and is a true classic. A must-have for any audiophiles collection!
