Louis Vuitton Island Megastore Launches in Singapore
Luxury fashion house Louis Vuitton has held the official launch for its new retail store located on the waterfront of the prestigious Marina Bay Sands resort complex in Singapore.
Designed by award-winning architect Peter Marino, the Louis Vuitton Maison megastore lies directly on the water, and is able to host visiting yachts for a lavish shopping experience.
Billed as one of the most sophisticated shopping concepts in the world, it also includes a private lounge and outdoor loggia.
Other unique features of the building include a deck reminiscent of an outdoor yacht along with an eleven metre high mast. Visitors can also explore the bookstore or browse the cultural space featuring various Vuitton-curated exhibitions.
Visitors arriving by foot can reach the store either via an underground tunnel adorned with artwork or an outdoor bridge.
Founded in Paris in 1854, Louis Vuitton now has 459 stores across 63 countries.
