Mercedes-Benz stated that their new styling division will focus on transportation-related products, comprising industrial design; furniture and lifestyle elements.

Professor h.c. Gorden Wagener, Head of the Mercedes-Benz design team stated: "In accordance with the original meaning of our trademark, the 'Three-Pointed Star' - mobility on land, on water and in the air - it is possible that the portfolio of Mercedes-Benz Style will include the styling of boats, aircraft, helicopters and other transport products."

The Mercedes-Benz Style design team are currently working on the interior of a new helicopter and the exterior design of a luxury yacht. The helicopter, a special edition EC145 Mercedes-Benz Style aircraft, was previewed at the European Business Aviation Convention & Exhibition 2010, which draws to a close today.

The Mercedes-Benz Style design studio have released photos presenting their new automotive, air and water-based transport designs.
