Mercedes-Benz Signs Partnership with Berlin Airport
Travellers arriving at the new Berlin Brandenburg International airport in Germany, which opens in June, will be greeted by an array of Mercedes-Benz paraphernalia, after the luxury car-maker signed a partnership deal with the transport hub.
Mercedes will feature prominently across the new airport, including a new showroom with space for 100 cars located next door, and a ‘star tower’ topped by an eight-metre-wide Mercedes star, to be constructed on the route into the airport.
Other features of the airport in which the famous brand will maintain a presence include the 190-metre departure screen, which is expected to be one of the largest screens of its kind in the world.
Additionally, an Airport Service point adjacent to the terminal will include24-hour valet parking service exclusively for Mercedes owners – enabling them to pick up their freshly serviced and washed car upon their return.
The history of Mercedes-Benz dates back to 1886 and the creation of the Benz Patent Motorwagen, widely regarded as the first automobile.
