Pagani Zonda Cinque Roadster skips the roof
Italian car manufacturer Pagani ups the exclusivity factor with the new Roadster model of the super-performing Zonda Cinque range.
As the name suggests, the Zonda Cinque Roadster will be available in a strictly limited production run of just five like the previously launched coupé model.
The Roadster's main distinguishing feature is her top-less design, featuring a redesigned Carbon-Titanium chassis to compensate for the non-existent roof when it is stored away in the front bonnet.
The Roadster is suitable for a variety of driving conditions, featuring a sequential robotised gearbox with different drive modes and an adjustable suspension setup not out of place on the racetrack.
With its 678 horsepower Mercedes Benz AMG engine, the supercar is expected to run to about 350 kilometres an hour, equal to that of its coupé sister.
The Roadster weighs just 1,210 kg which should get the vehicle to 100 km/h in 3.4 seconds according to Pagani.
The new model will carry a price tag of about £1.1 million.
The previous model of the Zonda Cinque sold-out so quickly that British client Peter Saywell commissioned a design of his own; the Zonda PS.
