Rolex Daytona ups the bling-factor
Beloved for its simple statements of understated style and elegance, luxury watch designer Rolex has taken a step into the world of high-bling with its latest creation.
The Rolex Cosmograph Daytona Diamond Chronometer Chronograph shines with a 40mm-wide frame of 18 carat white gold on a band of fine white leather.
Studded with rubies and two rows of diamonds, the case manages to be both attention-grabbing yet effortlessly glamorous.
Arabic numerals of black enamel surround the face and even the dials are made from diamonds.For those who like an extra splash of colour in a timepiece, the Rolex Daytona also comes in a model with blue numbers and an alternative arrangement of diamonds along the frame.
The chronometer itself consists of 290 parts powered by an in-house automatic calibre 4130 movement, and 44 jewels.
The power reserve on this opulent timepiece is 72 hours and is COSC-certified as a chronometer.
