Hercek is a creator of custom-made billiard cues made from elephant ivory sourced prior to its banning and exotic hardwoods accentuated with precious metals and stonework.
Each is built using what is known as the full-splice technique, a 19th century method rarely used in the modern age due to its difficult and time-consuming process that allows for the production of less than 30 cues per year.
Inlay work and engravings for the cues are also meticulously executed and often take several months to research and design. Hercek draws inspiration for his designs from artistic and architectural periods, nature and music.
Currently there is a 10 year waiting list for the exclusive gaming pieces that take almost a year to complete and carry a price tag of US$20,000 each.
