Sea-inspired lounge chairs take form from nature

Stay in touch with the ocean whether on-deck or at-home with these crustacean-inspired lounge chairs from Oluf Lund and Eva Paarmann.

Inspiration for these artistic furniture pieces, which show a unique reworking of the traditional lounge chair design, was taken from the ocean and base their forms on the exoskeleton forms of crustaceans.

The Shelly chair takes its form from the crayfish, while the Lobster chair is engineered from its namesake which also inspired a Lobster Footrest.

The chairs are manufactured exclusively in Denmark using the finest materials from the best Danish suppliers.

Each is moulded from beech with upholstery, or either oak or walnut veneer.

The leather used is top-quality natural Aniline and each chair features a chrome-plated steel swivel base.

The chairs are priced at US$5,102 each, and the footrest at US$2,478.
