Now Vuitton’s Autumn/Winter 2009/10 collection presents an alligator officer’s jacket recently show in Paris. The tunic-styled jacket is of top-grade tan alligator skin, complete with antique gold buttons and epaulettes.

The new collection also includes other opulent pieces in antelope leather, alligator skin and mink fur.

Design director Paul Helbers has described the range as resembling "the travelling wardrobe of an African king.”Exact pricing of this raw piece is yet to be announced but fashion insiders are tipping likely special orders to be somewhere between US$50,000 and $75,000.
