Notes From The Editor

Week Commencing 24 December 2012

Big news from the luxury car industry this week with German manufacturers Porsche revealing a significant upturn in fortunes in 2012.

Even with the end of the year still a week away, the sports car brand has already managed to sell more units worldwide than across the whole of 2011, with a grand total of 128,978 cars worldwide having left Porsche garages since the beginning of January.

The impressive figures will provide a timely boost to Porsche at a time of continued uncertainty amid the global economic downturn, and we report on the positive news in this week’s newsletter.

Elsewhere this week, there’s features on Bulgari’s new 2012 Serpenti Collection of luxury jewels, the world’s most expensive iPhone 5 case by Uunique London, and the new 2014 E-Clas model from German car makers Mercedes-Benz.

We also bring you news of Swarovski’s first ever eyewear collection, a stunning new Chinese Zodiac inspired timepiece by Vacheron Constantin, the impending opening of a luxury resort in the Maldives, and a beautiful pair of mahogany headphones from Dolce & Gabbana.

That just leaves us to wish you all a very happy Christmas.
