Notes From The Editor

Week Commencing 29 December 2014

Even the most ocean faring super yachts need time away from the high seas. Whether being refitted, sold, or stored in case of an impending hurricane, shipyard periods are often unavoidable.

During these times, it is inevitable that on occasion a yacht owner’s possessions that are kept on a yacht such as fine wines, works of arts, or antiques are left unguarded or even worse, stored irresponsibly and left for damage.

Step forward RoboVault, a Fort Lauderdale-based facility that offers owners of highly valuable possessions the upmost storage security. It is a truly remarkable operation and you can read more about it in today’s newsletter.

Elsewhere this week, there’s a report on Ralph Lauren’s continued diversification into restaurants with their first eatery set to open in New York and the launch of Bentley’s new Mulsanne Speed model.

There’s also London store openings for two renowned luxury watch brands – IWC and Omega – the latter representing their first ever boutique in the UK, and a preview of the upcoming Scottsdale classic car auction.

If that’s not enough,t here’s also news of a stunning new watch launch by Ulysse Nardin and McLaren’s unveiling of their 650S sports car model.

Enjoy our newsletter and see you next year.
