The Geneva Motor Show is always a major highlight on the calendar, and this year’s did not disappoint. We feature some of the stand-out moments from the event, including the unveiling of stunning new models from Lamborghini, Jaguar, Maserati and Ferrari.
If that’s not enough, then the Dubai Boat Show was on hand with its own offerings to the petrol head fraternity. More famous for its showcasing of monolithic yachts, this year the boat show hosted its first ever Supercar Promenade, an extravagant display of elite automobiles.
Elsewhere, amid the frenzy of the Autumn/Winter Fashion Weeks, we focus on an ingenious idea from Donna Karan offering evidence that design and functionality can still be happy bedfellows. The Infinity System is destined to save hours of morning indecision for women across the world and I, for one, cannot wait to enter the mix-and-match matrix.
As brilliant as it may be, one place the Infinity System won’t be on show is Aspen Fashion Week, which kicks off in the middle of March. The extravaganza is dedicated to luxury winter apparel and has surged in popularity since its inception in 2009. Set against the backdrop of the stunning Rocky Mountains, it’s easy to see why.
Back in the world of superyachts, it’s always an exciting moment when a new-fangled aquatic toy is revealed. The latest to hit our pages is a Korean-made submersible called EGO that can be manned without any extensive training. The ‘semi-submarine’ is too big to be accommodated on anything other than the largest yachts on the waters, but is also being marketed towards holiday resorts.
And with Summer now visible on the horizon, what better way to wrap up this week’s newsletter. Have a great week.
