Marina de Portimao, located on the Arade River estuary, is one of the safest harbours in Portugal and has gained a reputation as the preferential Superyacht marina in the Algarve. The marina is one of the most accessible in Portugal with a maximum draft allowance of 5m and capable of accommodating 620 yachts up to 50m LOA.

The marina itself is spread out over 25 hectares of land which affords it plenty of space for it’s world class facilities, which include fuel, shopping, parking, waste removal, a hotel, diving and much more. The marina’s private boatyard facilities are available throughout the year on the other side of the river making them close enough for servicing purposes yet far enough removed to ensure the safety and comfort of customers of the marina. The boatyard offers a vast range of quality services including the capacity to lift up monohulls up to 300 tons and catamarans up to a width of 9 meters.

Surrounded by some of the most beautiful beaches in Europe and the historical forts of Santa Caterina and Sao Joao Marina de Portimao is the perfect platform from which to enjoy the Portuguese culture. It is situated within a luxury condominium that includes first class restaurants, shops, bars, swimming pool, private car parking and exclusive beach.

Chosen as official training base of Team ABN AMRO, winner of Volvo Ocean Race 2005, Marina de Portimão has been the stage for a number of important international events, including the International Big Game Fishing Championship, TP52 and the World Championship Power 1. The marina has also hosted the World Yacht Match Racing ‘Portimão Portugal Match Cup 2011’ and will do so again in 2012.
