Gu Yacht (ex: Tyndareo)
Motor Yacht Gu
Motor yacht Gu, built in 2006 by Dutch shipyard Amels, features modern aerodynamic shaping that makes her a joy to watch on the water. With a steel hull and aluminium superstructure, she features naval architecture by Amels and exterior and interior design from the sketch book of Andrew Winch. This twin screw superyacht measures 58 metres and can accommodate up to 12 guests.
Originally christened with the name Tyndareo and leaving the yard as number 447, she was built for owners who desired a yacht ideal for informal cruising with friends and family. She was sold upon her launch however to an owner with a distinctly different lifestyle and consequently underwent two extensive refits. These changes, bought about by the talents at Amels and Andrew Winch, included creating a more contemporary and dramatic interior, and incorporating an onboard cinema and disco.
Luxury yacht Gu is powered by two Caterpillar 3516BDI-TA engines that allow her to reach speeds of 17.1 knots and achieve a range of 5,000 nautical miles an hour cruising at 16.5 knots. Gu has been built to Lloyd’s classification and is fully MCA compliant.
