Motor Yacht Savarona 

Motor yacht Savarona was built in 1931 by German shipyard Blohm + Voss and is one of the yachting world’s true classics. With a steel hull and superstructure, she features naval architecture by Diana Yacht Design and Cox & Stevens, exterior design by Cox & Stevens and the interior work Donald Starkey. This traditional yacht measures 135.95 metres and can accommodate up to 34 guests.

Motor yacht Savarona was originally built for Emily Roebling Cadwalader and was the first yacht constructed by Blohm + Voss with a length far ahead of its time. Most famous for its spectacularly intricate staircase, the ship was almost completely destroyed by fire in 1979 only to be refitted and returned to the seas over 13 years later. In her long and interesting history she has been known under the names of Savarona III, and Gunes Dil.

The staircase is a true masterpiece. Extending from the shelter deck to the upper deck, it was created from solid brass and the few remaining remnants from the original ship’s balustrade brass work.

Wide and spacious living spacious are a highlight of the luxury vessel’s design and due to her latest refit in 1999, she features state of the art recreational facilities. Amenities found onboard include large swimming pool, two Jacuzzis, two sauna and steam rooms, a Turkish bath and a gym. A movie theatre, small hospital and 17 staterooms for guests are also part of her impressive package.

Luxury yacht Savarona is powered by two 3,600 horsepower engines that allow her to reach a maximum speed of 18 knots. Featuring a dedicated crew, she is an excellent charter yacht for luxury vacations. The yacht cruises comfortably at 15.5 knots while her crew of 44 ensure the needs of every guest are met.

The luxury motor yacht is equipped with an armada of water toys to provide endless entertainment during any yacht charter. Onboard water toys include windsurfers, waterskis, Jet Skis, and a range of scuba diving equipment.

Savarona cruises the West Mediterranean during the summer charter season.
