Notes From The Editor

Week Ending 26/08/2011

As a seemingly quiet August draws to a close, the Superyacht Industry is now gearing up to enter an exciting September – a month which is set to offer the highly anticipated Perini Navi Cup, the Festival de la Plaisance de Cannes and, of course, the Monaco Yacht Show.

The team at Superyachts.com has been working tirelessly on our plans for the Monaco Yacht Show; however there are other events across the Mediterranean that have the Superyacht Industry captivated.

The Perini Navi Cup is set to welcome over 20 of stunning Perini Navi yachts to the backdrop of Porto Cervo, Sardinia from the 1st to the 4th of September. Here the yachts will enter a high-octane battle to establish who deserves to be crowned winner of the world-renowned event.

This exclusive regatta will then be very closely followed by the Festival de la Plaisance de Cannes (running from the 6-11 of September) an event which will serve as an excellent industry testing ground for exhibitors across the world as they showcase an impressive display of superyachts across Cannes’ luxurious Port Pierre Canto.

Closing the month however, will be the Pièce de résistance. Running from the 21st to the 24th of September, the Monaco Yacht Show will yet again open its doors and provide owners, charterers, visitors, industry representatives and journalists with the perfect opportunity to see, sell and showcase some of the world’s latest and greatest yachts on the market.

Launched to coincide with the upcoming onslaught of news that September will surely bring, Superyachts.com also launched its new Editorial Archives today – allowing our readers the ability to navigate through everything we have ever released and even search for specific feature titles by name and month.

So instead of waiting for September’s up coming events to breathe new life into the industry, take a look at our new Editorial Archive and discover the history of the events which have shaped the industry over the past few years.
