Expedition Yachts are things of great style, versatility and promise for the intrepid explorer; and with more and more adventurers returning from amazing voyages, I can’t help but wonder if these vessels are going to become a growing focus in the next few years.

The lifestyle that superyachts offer their owners vary from vessel to vessel; be it sailing around the Caribbean, relaxing on a motor yacht before heading off into a major cultural hub or breaking through ice on a journey through the Northwest Passage – there’s one thing for sure, there is something for everyone in this life.

Big Fish has featured heavily in the media as of late and with Star Fish well under way at the McMullen & Wing shipyard, the life of the explorer has taken off as the most amazing images and stories return from the treacherous, exotic and frankly unreachable areas of the globe.

In recent news, the Nomade explorer yacht was sold at the Monaco Yacht Show and the Royal Huisman superyacht Arcadia returned from an incredible journey around the Northwest Passage, adding to the notion that more and more people are making the most of the unrivalled lifestyle exploration brings.

However, Fort Lauderdale is almost on us and I will be chasing up the idea of a growing sense of demand in the explore yacht sector with interviews and features, alongside providing breaking coverage from the docks of the 52nd Fort Lauderdale Boat Show.
