Notes From The Editor

Editor’s Note: Just 8,000km Apart

Last week we provided a sneak preview of our trip to Antigua and Barbuda. Some 8,000km away we had a second team investigating the beautiful and popular shores of superyacht hotspot Montenegro.

With a similar aim to that of our trip to Antigua and Barbuda, features editor Christina Tsangaris led a team to the Balkan country to discover and deliver new and exciting content for your viewing pleasure. Print editor, Christina Tsangaris reveals more about our visit and what you can expect in the coming months.

Faced with the exciting prospect of promoting the up-and-coming destination of Montenegro, it is clear this region is welcoming more superyachts now than ever before. From the ancient walls of Old Town Kotor to the terracotta rooftops of Perast, this young, dynamic and keen to be discovered destination, retains its rustic allure and untouched character with pearls of luxury where you’d least expect it.

From boutique hideaways to some of the largest resort developments and marina villages under construction, Montenegro is on the road to something spectacular, ensuring it is more than just a stop off on your Mediterranean charter.

Making the most of this jewel of the Adriatic, we met government, locals and leading industry members to learn the best way to enjoy the region by superyacht. The charismatic charm of the people, untamed landscapes, world-class resorts, culinary corners and a wealth of marinas, are all developing quickly with superyacht visitors in mind.

Today, from our sunny corner of the city in London, it is clear to see how the ardour of those investing, developing and leading the way to evolve the region has well and truly put Montenegro on the map. The gift of Montenegro should be shared, and we can’t wait to help share this with you.

While I work to curate each bespoke experience to promote the country in time for the next season, the rest of the editorial team are online and keeping you up to date with the latest news and updates. Stay tuned.
