Editor's Note: Reveals, Revivals & Revelry

On the edge of December, the superyacht community has migrated to the balmy islands of the Caribbean while global superyacht builders continue to launch, deliver and introduce brand-new superyachts to the world.

We recently focused on the revival of superyacht Nero thanks to an online exclusive insight from interior designer and stylist Laura Pomponi of Luxury Projects. Nero’s owners were thrilled with the revival of the ultra-sophisticated superyacht and has returned in a fantastic form to the charter market with Burgess.

As she heads toward the Caribbean for winter, along with the charter and brokerage industry heading to the Antigua Charter Show, we can’t wait to see more from Nero as it continues its iconic career on the water. In the meantime, you can read the full story here.

While our film team prepares to trade the cold for the Caribbean, we’re still delivering the latest announcements from the industry as new launches and project reveals swamp the front pages.

Ganimede, a superyacht concept with undeniable appeal, is Fincantieri’s latest collaboration release with Italian design studio Hot Lab. A 113-metre superyacht design practice, this reveal has led to one of the most exciting new projects of 2017 and one we’re hoping to see enter the shipyard soon.

This news followed the sale and construction progress of Heesen’s Boreas, a superyacht project which, in traditional style, is charging toward launch, and the expanding Heesen fleet, with a proud new owner at the end of the sea trial period.

In Italy, the Ferretti Group continued its upward trajectory as the new face of Custom Line hit the water in the form of the first ever 120. A style which reflects a new era, thanks to the expert design of the Francesco Paszkowski studio, and a superyacht line with a promising future with two sister ships in construction.

In Dubai, Gulf Craft brought the brand-new Majesty 135 to a new owner after it was christened and delivered under the name Lulwa. This, combined with Turkey’s first reveal of the outstanding style of the Bilgin 263, has turned the week into a global hub of news, reveals and project insights.

While you can find the full stories of the week here, we’re looking forward to bringing you more in-depth insights across the remaining weeks of 2017 with a unique look back at the 365 days that defined an important phase in the superyacht community; not to mention a few insights into Antigua next week. Until then!
