Unique 65m Concept ORIGAMI Hits the Market

By Frances Flannagan

Moravia Yachting has proudly announced a brand-new central agency sales arrangement with Schwalgien Design and the Astilleros Armon shipyard, presenting the stunning 65m concept ORIGAMI. She is a mono-hull support yacht that boasts a modern exterior with the architectural advancements of a luxury superyacht, steering away from the traditional shadow vessel aesthetic. ORIGAMI is set to be delivered in 2026, and has a current asking price of €48,000,000.

ORIGAMI’s aluminium hull takes inspiration from her namesake, with the plates folded and intersected to create angular and geometric forms that stretch across the superstructure. Tim Carbury, Broker at Moravia Yachting, has commented on her unique aesthetic: ‘ORIGAMI takes a purposeful step away from the typical commercial-looking support yachts and seeks to combine a support vessel platform with more of a superyacht aesthetic.’

She will be able to carry a fuel load for global operation in support of the mothership, thanks to a beam of 12m and a 3m draft. These exploration capabilities are amplified by the inclusion of a helicopter hangar which is concealed within the superstructure, allowing for a helicopter to be stowed without having to fold the blades.

Enhancing exploration opportunities at sea, ORIGAMI also features a large tender deck with enough space to store three large tenders, or a combination of tenders, submersible, and water toys.

She can accommodate a crew of 22, offering a spacious crew lounge and gym, alongside expanded crew quarters to aid cruising, expedition operations and the best possible guest service.

Her layout is incredibly flexible, able to adapt to suit the exact requirements of the clients. The space can be arranged with larger cabins to accommodate additional guests, or her interior can boast a functional purpose such as housing research centres.

Carbury concluded: ‘The scope of possibility ORIGAMI affords an owner is remarkable - she has the potential to completely revolutionise someone’s existing superyacht lifestyle and operation, complementing an existing vessel in all manner of ways.’
