Launched at the Pendik shipyard in Istanbul, the brand-new 60m superyacht Yogi comes as Proteksan Turquoise’s second successful launch of 2011.

M/Y Yogi was introduced to the water not so long after the earlier launch of M/Y Turquoise, the second yacht bearing this name to join a list of repeat customers.

This striking superyacht combines design signatures characteristic of contemporary expedition yachts, blended skilfully with dramatic lines and detail features. The team behind the design, a collaboration of the Proteksan Turquoise yard and Jean-Guy Verges, were responsible for her distinctive exterior styling, sleek lines and stunning interior.

Yogi’s overall design has accounted for the owner’s desire for a yacht with unique features which allows you to feel connected to the water. Extensive hull and superstructure glazing allows scenic vistas from almost any area of the yacht. In order to optimise entertaining opportunities, Yogi has two magnificent beach-clubs and a side balcony to connect those on board with the sea, whilst on the sundeck the experience is enhanced by a large Jacuzzi and a Teppanyaki bar.

Other significant design features include the large temperature-regulated swimming pool with a glazed skylight in the bottom to illuminate the beach club below, alongside a massage room and a state-of-the-art entertainment lounge.

Yogi is constructed of a steel hull and aluminium superstructure which can power through the water a cruising speed of 15 knots and top speed of 17 knots through dual Caterpillar 3512B 1750hp diesel engines. Yogi is also built to ABS and MCA LY2 specifications.
