Notes From The Editor
Week Ending 15/07/2011
This week, the Superyachts.com team discovered that the website has been faring extremely well on the global traffic rankings; making us the leading superyacht website in locations such as the United States, United Kingdom, the Netherlands and even Japan.
I have seen the website grow inexorably since joining the team just after the initial launch in November 2009 and it fills me with a real sense of pride to know that, in just 18 months, we have managed to achieve a position as the 129,824th most popular website in the world; making us the definitive superyacht portal we set out to be.
Launched in conjunction with today’s encouraging global rankings, the team at Superyachts.com have also been working tirelessly to introduce the enhanced homepage. This new design adds to the existing homepage, enhancing the ergonomic way readers can navigate our website to search for all of the relevant news and information on offer – but I digress…
In other news, the Superyacht Industry seems to be once again picking up pace as summer gets well and truly underway as more and more reports of brokerage activity and charter bookings come in.
Announcements such as Merle Wood & Associates’ successful sale of superyacht WoW, Fraser Yachts’ sale of Perle Noir and Major Wager, and Liveras Yachts’ report on Andreas L’s successful charter bookings lead a whole plethora of price reductions and new signing reports which have been flying in this week.
With the Monaco Yacht Show just around the corner, it’s easy to see why things are heating up in this industry and as the most highly anticipated superyacht show of the year begins to draw closer, I look forward to presenting all of the exciting news which comes with it as well as revealing a few more secrets of our own.
