Project Marco Polo

Project Marco Polo, a unique yacht to get the owner “out of the box” designed by Camillo Costantini a yacht of 102 m. length overall, 16.8 m. breadth and 5200 tons full displacement, that can reach 19 Kn maximum speed, with accommodations for 28 Owner and Guests, with 14 suites and 2400 m2 of Luxury spaces, and for 42 Crew. A mix of modern and retro elements to let the owner experience the sea.
The hull construction is to be of steel and light alloy will be used for part of the
superstructure.
The vessel will be twin screw with a soft-nosed stem and transom stern.
The propulsion plant is to consist of two electric steerable pods, fed by an electric
power plant.
The vessel will be equipped with two bow thrusters and two pairs of fin stabilizers
designed to provide active roll reduction both while underway and ‘at anchor’.
The electricity to power the ship is to be provided by five diesel generators. There will
also be an emergency generator.
The yacht's hull will be dark in colour and the superstructure white.
All data in this brief specification is preliminary and may only be confirmed after
completion of further design work.
