    Lipari is the largest Aeolian Island and is home to the grandest restaurants and most vibrant after-dark scene in the entire island chain. With its two harbours, generous Ponente Beach, and captivating ruins, the island makes an excellent base for exploring the other Aeolians. Vulcano lies very close to Lipari so makes an easy day trip. The island is famous for its volcano, the Gran Cratere, which provides the island with amazing natural mud baths that boast surprisingly good benefits for the skin.
