Explore Corsica By Day...

For a day spent ashore, these are the places to be pampered, the shopping districts to delve into, and the activities to indulge in.

Pampering
Campo di Scoboa
For those who need to steady their sea-legs, the Campo di Scoboa is a sprawling, multi-level hacienda sure to afford you that luxury. Set on 15.5 hectares of olive and citrus groves, the former home of famous French sculptor and architect Albert Verbeke is home to an extensive collection of contemporary art, 2 clay tennis courts along with a personal maid and private chef.

Villa Ziglion
The Villa Ziglione, a contemporary villa topping the slope just above the road to Palombaggia beach, this low-slung architectural gem boasts a cedar deck, dazzling infinity pool and a state-of-the-art gym with a hammam. Big enough for parties with an adjacent covered poolside patio and outdoor wood-burning oven, there are three bedrooms, including a master bedroom with a private terrace.

Shopping
Ajaccio
Corsica’s top shopping destination is its cosmopolitan capital, Ajaccio, with a glittering harbour front and an extensive selection of premier and local designers. A short stroll from the city centre's Place de Diamant de Gaulle brings you within range of over 300 boutiques, each one within 15 paces of a café or bar ideally suited to the needs of worn-out shopping companions.

Activities
Adventure Sports
The Corsican outdoors offers a wealth of activities: walking and hiking can be done throughout the entire island but there are specific areas of the island offering certain high-octane diversions. Abseiling can be done in the southern town of Bonifacio or the area around Ponte Leccia to the north. Hang-gliding is popular in the northern towns of St.Florent and Bastia, along with 4x4 excursions which can also be undertaken near Ajaccio in the south.

Golf
Golfers aren’t forgotten on Corsica, with two award-winning courses on either end of the island, the northern town of Regino and the southern town of Bonifacio.
