1. Hvar Island, Croatia

Off Croatia’s marveled coast, in the soothing sea of the Adriatic, Hvar Island is one of Croatia’s most luxurious islands. By day, marvellous 13 th century gothic buildings line the squares of popular Hvar Town but by night, the sleepy cobbled streets turn into bolt-holes for nightlife, where small yet chic bars come alive. 2. Ibiza, Spain

It’s known as the world’s most revered destination for party-seekers, but Ibiza has much more to offer than its 80s reputation. While the island, and specifically Ibiza Town, do promise cabanas, cocktails and glamour, more refined hang-outs are coming into competition. Legendary clubs do reign here and will provide music from globally recognised DJs; however patio bars and pavement café’s allow a more sophisticated take on nightlife, from the island that never sleeps.

3. Miami, USA

In true USA style there’s something for everyone here... From New York basement style hang-outs to palm tree lined beach parties. With different areas offering different styles, those wanting a champagne-fuelled night out can head to South Beach where they might expect to rub shoulders with VIPs and those looking for a more authentic experience can head to one of Miami’s expansive rooftops where they can sip cocktail creations and simply admire the view.

4. Melbourne, Australia

An increasingly ‘all-night’ city, Melbourne has recently seen a rise in the number of late night bars and restaurants to satisfy its buzzy atmosphere and multi-cultural appeal. With 24-hour public transport in the city allowing locals to stay out later, the venues popping open for live music, drinks and good food are now in abundance. Known for its varied cuisine and European influenced bars; it’s easy to say up until sunrise here whether it’s eating great tapas on a cobbled back street or sipping gin in a speakeasy.

5. Singapore

Sip, schmooze and savor the view of Singapore’s cityscape skyline from one of this location’s super-instagrammable rooftop bars. Or, if enjoying nightlife by day is more your thing, attend one of Singapore’s slick hotel pool parties, where the afternoon melts into early evening accompanied by world-class DJs and mixologists serving innovative cocktail creations. Elsewhere, beach parties and ahead-of-the-curve restaurants serve up an alternative evening for those wanting something a little lower key.

6. Bali

All night beach parties and celebrations including fire-dancing, carnival colours and traditional dance may not form the most high-end nightlife, but certainly the most culturally authentic. But, while tourism here increases, so do the ultra-cool beach clubs and influx of clubs showcasing worldwide DJs. Chillout-lounge style bars are also popular and a foolproof accompaniment to Indonesia’s island lifestyle. For a laid-back luxe experience, head to slightly more swanky Seminyak.

7. Barcelona, Spain

Barcelona is the destination that has it all. With a cosmopolitan city, bespoke marina facilities and an extensive beach, there’s no wonder this up and coming destination has crept into our nightlife guide. Offering different quarters depending on what kind of evening you’re craving, Barcelona allows more traditional Spanish evenings sipping sangria on the terrace while admiring the city’s gothic architecture. Alternatively, there are a number of late-night eateries and bars to dance the night away; whether it’s jazz, house or live music you’re seeking.

8. Mykonos, Greece

Evenings in Mykonos often start at Paradise Beach, where the aptly named ocean-side solace plays host to sundowners. While watching the sun-set over relaxing day of island-living, talk can turn to the evening ahead, whether it’s enjoying a seafood feast or heading to one of this small destination’s chic and sophisticated bars… or maybe both. Mykonos is all about living the Greek lifestyle and indulging in the finer things in life, all best explored via various trattorias and bars along the island’s cobbled whited-washed streets. 9. Monaco

A well-renowned hub for everything glitz, glamour and yachting; from the gambling center, Casino Square to the ultra-exclusivity of the principalities’ clubs, by night is when Monaco really comes alive. If you’re searching for something a little more low-key, you’ll find a number of opulent bars and Michelin starred restaurants to get your evening off to a more subdued start. However, be warned, during events such as the Grand Prix racing, you’ll find it tricky to avoid the party!

10. Dubai

Boasting some of the most luxurious resorts and hotels in the world, there’s no surprise Dubai nightlife is also among the globes’ most resounding. Big names in both fashion and hospitality operate Dubai’s trendy nightclubs, while 5* hotel rooftops bring the bottomless brunch to another level; think indulgent food and champagne on tap with the Burj al Arab in the distance. Similar, if it’s a more low-key evening you’re looking for, the big name restaurants all have outlets here; expect dinner to be an equally splendid affair.
