Weather in Aeolian Islands

Italy's climate varies quite drastically from south to north, but luckily for the Aeolian Islands, their position in the south means they benefit from the very best conditions. Winter is generally very mild, and the Islands can be found basking in sun almost all year round. Summers are usually hot and dry, and temperatures tend to climb higher than the rest of Italy.

The Aeolian Islands are at their most glorious in the summer months, when temperatures can reach up to 30°C, and the water sits around a beautifully comfortable 26°C. Autumn remains delightfully warm and sunny, until temperatures start to dip in November. Sailing to the Aeolian Islands in the winter months will see you encounter the most wet days, when up to 12 days a month see significant rainfall. The water temperature sits around a refreshing 14 degrees and air temperatures rarely dip below eight.
