Weather in Sicily

Sicily is a truly a Mediterranean paradise: sandwiched between France and Italy, it enjoys the best of both climates. The coastal areas of Italy experience mild winters and seductively warm summers. The further south, the hotter and drier conditions become.

On Sicily, temperatures climb a bit higher in summer while fall and winter can be rainy though never excessively so. Being situated less than 100 miles from the North African coastline, Sicily benefits from sunshine for most of the year. Winter months tend to average around 15 or 16˚C on the coast while the hottest of the summer months in July and August often reach temperatures higher than 30˚C. The sea is a pleasant yet refreshing 21˚C during this period.
