Weather in Stromboli

Stromboli is host to a typically Mediterranean climate and being a small island, its temperatures are moderated by the surrounding sea. Average annual temperatures generally sit about 18°C although summer pushes into the 30s and winter dips just below 10°C.

Rainfall is limited in Stromboli as in the entire stretch of the Aeolian Islands although winter is the wettest time to visit the volcanic island. Summer temperatures although never excessively hot, are tempered by marine breezes which keep average summer temperatures in the high 20s most of the season. Daylight lasts about 10 hours during this warm period but expires much faster in the early and late stages of the year when 4 hours of sun is common per day.
