From modest beginnings in 1916 when two brothers, Jesús and José Astondoa Martínez, began building rowboats and traineras in a small carpenter's workshop in Portugalete, Spain, Astondoa is now one of the most highly renowned yacht builders in the industry.

Over the century, Astondoa began to gain a reputation for extremely high-quality finishes, top levels of seaworthiness and performance.

By 2006, the Astondoa Group had collated over 500 employees and the most extensive range of boats on the market manufactured by one single brand. Its fleet demonstrated the versatility of the Astondoa brand, ranging from 40ft open boats to yachts over 120ft in length made of polyester resin reinforced with fiberglass, and megayachts up to 45m long with steel hulls and aluminium superstructures.

Today, Astondoa has built over 3,000 vessels, and the family remains at the centre of the business to guide the shipyard with its original founding principles. Upholding the highest levels of quality and client satisfaction throughout the century, Astondoa has proven itself a robust and extremely worthy major player in yachting.

The philosophy at the heart of the Astondoa brand is one of professionalism, reliability and quality - all serving to aim for constant progressions in innovation. It is these qualities which have enabled the brand to withstand the challenges of the changing times and constantly deliver clients' dream boats.

Astondoa remains committed to future thinking, and is constantly investing in new technology and the latest designs to push the boundaries ever forward and remain at the very cutting edge of yacht build.

Astondoa's current range is extensive and versatile, and includes the Astondoa 100 Century, AS8, Steel Range, Topdeck and Coupe.
