The story of Derecktor Shipyard began in Mamaroneck, NY, when Bob Derecktor and a small team set up shop, inspired by a pure passion for the craft of boat building. Now, 73 years on, Derecktor is one of the world's most prolific shipbuilders and refit yards, with facilities in Dania Beach and Fort Pierce.

Derecktor made a name for itself on the global stage after launching the largest superyacht to be built in the US - 85.6m M/Y Cakewalk (now Aquila). Now Derecktor is known not only for its impressive new build facilities, but increasingly as the go-to refit facility on America's East coast, with world-class facilities and an expert team in refitting some of the largest vessels on the water. Among Derecktor's respectable facilities can be counted the world's largest mobile boat hoist, at Derecktor Dania facility.
