Palumbo Group was established in Naples in 1967 as a small refit workshop for commercial ships. Now, after three generations, it has become one of the largest marine Group in the Central Med.

To date, the Group counts a refit, conversion and superyacht construction facility in the commercial port of Naples, a commercial shipyard in Messina (Sicily) and two yards: a commercial refit yard and a superyacht repairs and refit facility, in Malta.

The family-run business counts an in-house team of 300 professionals and very little work is outsourced. Besides handling major refits work, full conversions of yachts and commercial vessels, Palumbo entered the superyacht industry with the brand “Columbus Yachts”, that is now one of the youngest and most dynamic brands in the global market.

Nowadays the group operates within 4 shipyards and several docks in the heart of the Mediterranean, two of them are specialized in Super Yacht refitting and is able to offer every kind of Super Yacht’s assistance wherever you are in the Neapolitan gulf or in the Malta’s surroundings.

These include additional supporting workshops (including a galvanizing facility, a separate carpentry, painters, toolmakers, electrical and electronic shops and a multitude of other services and maintenance shops) dock pumping houses, electricity substations and various storage facilities.

The Company vision is to further develop the previous capabilities into a leading, maintenance and refitting center, serving the super yacht fleet in the Mediterranean, offering expertise and an exceptional infrastructure located in a country blessed with skilled, hospitable people and mild weather.
