Designers Technical Support/ Class and Flag Approval
Laurent Giles works closely with other designers to ensure complete integration with not only the Owner’s requirements but also the designer’s concepts with Statutory and Classification requirements.

The studio can also validate or produce packages for Class approval for either new build, conversion or refit projects as well as act as an intermediary between Owners, Agents or Designers in negotiation with Class and Flag.

Preliminary Naval Architecture/Tender Packages
Laurent Giles ensures any contractual requirements are achievable within the design documentation, specification and the Owner’s wishes.

Hull and Structural Design
The studio offers tailor-made hull design packages from classic long keeled designs to high speed planing hulls using the latest in design technology.

Through-build Support/Yard Technical Support
Laurent Giles can work on behalf of the Owner to make sure the build fulfils the requirements of the specification using technical experience build knowledge to monitor, report and advise on the progress of the project.

Refit Design and Engineering
The team can provide engineering and design work during any refit and identify any issues that may affect the vessels classification or characteristics.
