A true legend in the superyacht construction and service-providing industry, Azimut acquired the historical Benetti shipyard in Viareggio in 1985, consequently inheriting the yard’s years of technical experience and allowing the company to increase its launch rate of larger superyachts.

Azimut-Benetti is now the world’s largest producer of mega yachts over 80 feet and is recognized by its technological and technical excellence as it continues to construct quality vessels from its base in Italy, one of yachting’s heartlands.

In total Azimut Yachts has 190,000 sqm of shipyard, among which 100,000 sqm (57.000 sqm covered) in the headquarter of Avigliana, inaugurated in 2001 and projected specifically to host the most advanced machinery.

Azimut Yachts is the first brand of the Group, which produces Open and Flybridge from 38 to over 120 feet long. Aiming to provide its distinguished clients with the most comprehensive range of services available, Azimut assists clients from the selection stage all the way through purchase to use and maintenance.

The company's yachts with a length of over 100ft form the new "Azimut GRANDE" Division: an exceptional portfolio of mega yachts, which by 2013 will have expanded to include four new models.The design philosophy is entirely at the service of the megayacht owner with a special team of designers to provide services directly to the client's home, anywhere in the world. This gives a characteristically Italian name to the approach that Azimut has always taken to customer relations: an approach that has made it the favourite shipyard of mega yacht owners throughout the world since twelve years.

Azimut has a number of production facilities in Italy including dockyards in Fano, a service and delivery centre in Savona, shipyards in Viareggio and Piacenza, and an industrial plant in Avigliana near Turin. Azimut currently has offices in Fort Lauderdale USA, and Shanghai China besides those in Italy.
