NORD – 142m, 2021

One of the most recent Lürssen entries into the Top 100, Project Opus was delivered in 2021 as Nord. Originally sold in 2015, Nord has an incredible volume of 10,154GT which provides ample luxurious spaces for up to 36 guests to enjoy.

Described by designer Dan Lenard as a ‘warship wearing a tuxedo’, Nord has the explorer capabilities to suit an adventurous owner while still exemplifying the high standards of elegance associated with Lürssen superyachts. Nord is well-prepared to take her guests to the heart of the action, with a large aft-deck helicopter landing deck and storage for 14 custom tenders and a heavy arsenal of water toys and craft.

A+ – 147m, 2012

Perhaps more synonymously known by her former name, Topaz, A+ comes in as the fourth largest Lürssensuperyacht at 147.25m in length.

Designed by Tim Heywood, A+ has a jaw-dropping gross tonnage of 12,532GT and it is safe to say that the volume has been put to good use by British studio Terence Disdale Design. Among her standout features, which are relatively hard to narrow down, A+ boasts her own cinema, fully-equipped gym, and conference room. Very much her own eco-system, with 62 guests accommodated onboard and looked after by 79 crew members, A+ is as prepared for exploration as she is for indulgent luxury, with a mini submarine among her enticing array of ‘toys’.

AL SAID – 155m, 2008

Delivered in 2008, Al Said is a 155m and 15850GT superyacht with a staggering 200 crew members onboard to look after 70 guests.

Renowned designer Espen Oeino penned the striking steel hulled superyacht, which features an aluminium superstructure and an opulent interior put together by RWD. As with most royal superyachts, there are few details which have been made public about her features. Al Said can reach up to 15 knots flat out and has a cruising speed of 22 knots.

DILBAR – 156m, 2016

Another Lürssen collaboration with Espen Oeino, Dilbar was delivered in 2016 and smashed the record for the largest swimming pool ever fitted on a superyacht at 25m in length and with 180 cubic metres of water.

The seven-deck superyacht Dilbar comes in at a whopping 15,917 tonnes and is the ultimate floating palace for entertainment and recreation. Espen Oeino’s classic profile features a light ivory hull and bronze accents, while the luxury interior has been the work of iconic studio Winch Design. Dilbar is certainly among the most impressive superyachts on the water, and currently stands as the fifth largest superyacht in the world.

AZZAM – 180m, 2013

The largest luxury motor yacht in the world is naturally a Lürssen. 180.6m Azzam epitomises why the German shipyard is the go-to for owners dreaming of a superyacht that transcends the traditional limits of possibility.

A world-class team was personally assembled and directed in all areas of development of this sophisticated project by Eng. Mubarak Saad al Ahbabi. Under his instruction and leadership Azzam was developed from her original concept with the overall requirements in regard to general layout, performance, size and exterior style.

The brief was to build a luxurious large yacht which featured a timeless and innovative design that could travel at high speed even in warm and shallow waters while still providing sophisticated and luxurious accommodation for its guests.

Azzam breaks new ground in many ways, in terms of her technology, dimensions and performance. As well as being the largest yacht in the world at an unprecedented 180 metres and still being able to reach top speeds of over 30 knots, she also adds another record in regards to building time having spent a mere three years in build following one year of engineering.
