Gene Chaser
2020
|Motor Yacht
Originally built by Damen Yachting as a YS 5009 model, GENE CHASER is best known as the dynamic support vessel to the 55m Amels superyacht GENE MACHINE.
Yet, in a unique twist, GENE CHASER is the larger of the two and a highly capable, transoceanic superyacht in her own right.
Designed for serious exploration, she logged an impressive 38,000 nautical miles in 2023, a testament to her global cruising credentials and the meticulous maintenance programme upheld by her owner and crew.
Converted into a functioning scientific research laboratory, GENE CHASER is equipped for a variety of specialist missions. Her features include a beach club, a scuba diving centre, a touch-and-go helipad, and a 225-square-metre working deck with an 11.3-tonne capacity crane. This expansive deck has supported a 42-foot tender, a landing craft, and a containerised all-terrain vehicle and toys.
Whether continuing her role as a research and support vessel or reconfigured to enhance guest and crew accommodation, GENE CHASER offers exceptional flexibility and robust performance for long-range adventure or operational support.
