The AB Yachts shipyard was the first one that applied waterjets on high performances small boats and that used structural glues studied on purpose with the most important companies of the composites sector.

In planning, programs with finished elements were used with the aim to optimize the dimensioning of resistant structures.
In 2001 AB Yachts became part of the Fipa Group that already owned the Maiora Brand, and together they marked important milestones within the shipping industry worldwide.

Presently, the Group continues its expansion and is able to offer vessels in fiberglass up to 50 meters (165 feet), vessels in steel and light alloy up to 80 meters (260 feet), fast open vessels up to 60 meters (200 feet), as well as offer complete and fully integrated services in all areas of pleasure yachting.

AB Yachts is the shipyard projected to the future. All AB yachts are produced at the headquarters of Massa occupying 26 thousand square meters of hangars and 80 thousand square meters of uncovered areas.

While following the guidelines of the headquarters, all shipyards of the Group keep their own organization, ensuring the utmost efficiency that allows meeting the planned schedules and always supplying high-quality products.

The current shipyard specialization of the Group also lets them provide a complete maintenance and boat storage service, following their clients also in the aftersale phase.

AB Yachts is doubtless the technology benchmark in the world of yachting. This is because AB chose to abandon the ordinary traditional schemes on which the design and construction criteria of the vessels are based nowadays and to introduce new techniques deriving from much more innovative sectors than that of pleasure yachting. Hence the use of advanced composites, of particular resins, of sandwich vacuum consolidated materials extended to everything that is made of composite.

One of the most significant innovations is the introduction of structures taken from the aerospace industry for which vibrations and expansions caused by temperature changes are not permitted. The propulsion chosen by AB YACHTS is the waterjet, the best propulsion system for boats needing both an excellent performance and a way of life at sea based on comfort and safety. Studies have shown that a waterjet has a higher return than a shaft line transmission and transmission to propellers of the surface, furthermore they are also maintenance-free, safe and easy to manoeuvre in shallow water in the presence of bathers.

Another key point of AB YACHTS is the complete customization of all of its models, from 58’ to 166’: starting from subdivision to outside where you will have the chance to see your wishes come true.
