VQ80 SportFish

Designed by Guido de Groot and built in the Netherlands, it was conceived as a fully custom chase boat, created to accompany a larger superyacht while delivering a completely different, adrenaline-focused experience on the water.

Visually, the yacht stands out with its aggressive, angular profile and integrated tuna tower, giving it a distinctive silhouette that sets it apart from anything else in the sportfish category. The design blends functional fishing elements with the sleek, modern lines that define the Vanquish brand, resulting in a vessel that feels both purposeful and highly stylised.

At its core, the VQ80 SportFish is built for extreme performance. With a lightweight aluminium construction, surface-drive propulsion, and powerful engines, it achieves speeds in excess of 50 knots—placing it among the fastest yachts in its class. This performance allows it to operate as a high-speed tender or chase boat, capable of quickly reaching offshore fishing grounds or keeping pace with larger motherships.

Despite its focus on speed and capability, the yacht remains highly practical for serious sportfishing. A large aft cockpit, specialist equipment, and smart design features—such as hydraulic side doors—make it well suited to handling large catches and extended days on the water.
