WINDWEAVER OF PENNINGTON

Built by Midship Boat Services Ltd in England, with naval architecture and design by Edd Sharatt and Robert Clarke, she combines robust steel construction with a traditional cruising layout and the practical features expected of a true go-anywhere sailing yacht.

Her hull and superstructure are constructed in steel, with teak laid over the deck, giving her a strong and purposeful character. She carries a carbon main mast, aluminium mizzen mast, carbon in-furling main boom and a complete sail wardrobe suited to both cruising and offshore passages. With a displacement of approximately 74.28 tonnes, a beam of 5.30 metres and a draft of 3.40 metres, she has been conceived with strength, stability and extended passage-making in mind.

WINDWEAVER OF PENNINGTON is particularly well suited to independent cruising. Under power, her 215 HP Perkins Sabre M215C diesel engine drives a Hundested four-blade variable-pitch propeller, providing a reported cruising speed of 8 knots and a range of approximately 2,500 nautical miles. A substantial 5,000-litre fuel capacity, twin Beta generators, watermaker, air conditioning and comprehensive navigation and communications equipment further support extended operation away from shore facilities.

Accommodation is arranged across three guest cabins, with a Master stateroom and two additional guest cabins, all with ensuite bathrooms. The yacht can sleep up to seven guests, while separate crew accommodation is positioned forward. The saloon offers a comfortable, traditional interior with dining and lounge areas, while the enclosed wheelhouse provides inside steering and excellent all-round visibility for use in more demanding weather conditions.

On deck, an aft cockpit with outside steering, dining table and U-shaped seating creates a practical social space, while the sheltered wheelhouse adds another layer of comfort and usability. Her specification also includes a Side-Power bow thruster, extensive safety equipment and two tenders, reinforcing her credentials as a capable cruising platform.
