A Rare Treat for Champagne Connoisseurs
French champagne house Piper-Heidsieck have released their multi-award winning Rare Vintage 2002.
Produced by renowned winemaker Regis Camus, the Rare Vintage has already won several medals and trophies, including “Best champagne for 2011” by the Fine Champagne magazine.
It is the eighth vintage of Rare ever released, following the 1976, 1979, 1985, 1988, 1990, 1998 (in magnum only) and 1999 editions.
The Rare 2002 is a refined wine with a fresh and delicate texture reminiscent of silk. To the eye it is a sparkling pale gold with green hues, whilst to the nose it offers an initial vegetal and floral impression, including honeysuckle, iris and jasmine.
Located in the Champagne region of northeast France, Piper-Heidsieck was founded in 1785 by Florens Louis Heidsieck.
