Abu Dhabi Prepares for World Luxury Fashion Week

Abu Dhabi, the capital of the United Arab Emirates, is preparing for the launch of the inaugural World Luxury Fashion Week later this month by adding two more big name brands to its impressive roster of exhibitors.

Already boasting a long and distinguished list of attendees, the show will now welcome Nina Ricci, an established Parisian couture house since 1932, along with the Italian label Ermanno Scervino, it has been announced.

Taking place at Jumeirah at Etihad Towers in Abu Dhabi, the 4-day event will showcase collections from leading global fashion brands infront of a select group of private clients and invited guests.

The schedule consists of two evenings of haute couture shows, followed by two evenings of prêt-à-porter brands.

Ermanno Scervino, founder of the eponymous brand, said: “I am very excited about my upcoming show in Abu Dhabi and I look forward to personally meeting with our discerning private clients in this dynamic city.

“Abu Dhabi is a very an interesting market that is appreciative of true luxury brands, fine Italian craftsmanship and couture design.”

The high profile brands will be joined by a host of other renowned names from the world of fashion at the event, including, Carolina Herrera NY, Hervé Léger, Paule Ka ‘Black Carpet’ Collections, and acclaimed regional designers, Walid Atallah and DAS Collection.

The wealthiest Emirate in the Middle East, Abu Dhabi is rapidly establishing itself as the luxury fashion capital of the region. Over the next couple of years, more than seventy luxury fashion boutiques are expected to open there.

World Luxury Fashion Week takes place from 25 – 28 November.
