An island in Abu Dhabi that has been dubbed the Maldives of the Middle East is to play host to a lavish music festival later this month.

Called NuraiFest , the two-day electronic music festival is set to become the first-ever private island music festival to place in the Middle East.

Created to promote Abu Dhabi’s social scene and nightlife, the event has been co-organised by the UAE capital’s Department of Culture and Tourism and will take place on luxury private resort, Zaya Nurai Island.

Guests will discover pool parties, sunset beach parties, and world-renowned DJs such as Audiofly, Steve Lawler, Tiga, wAFF, M.A.N.D.Y., Satori live and Serge Devant performing across both days.

Speaking about the upcoming festival, Zaya Nurai Island’s General Manager, Adib Moukheiber, said: “Our goal is to create memorable island experiences like no other in the UAE. Zaya Nurai Island will play host to one of the most unique music festivals to ever take place in the region and beyond.”

A short 15-minute boat ride off the shores of Abu Dhabi, or accessible by helicopter and seaplane, Zaya Nurai Island is home to 52 private villas, an oceanside spa, a beach club, and a programme of activities on land and sea.

NuraiFest will take place on 22-23 November.
