Air France Unveil “Haute Couture” First Class Suite

The reclining seat turns into a bed that spans a vast 2.01 metres long and 77 centimetres across, making it almost unparalleled across the airline industry, according to Air France.

A total of 76 of the seats will be fitted into the airline’s 19 Boeing 777-300 jets at a cost of €50 million ($70 million).

Air France’s announcement follows Etihad airlines revealing a first-class sofa that converts into a bed extending 2.04 metres long and 66 centimetres wide, to be fitted into the Airbus A380 and Boeing 787 aircrafts.

Etihad also recently unveiled ‘The Residence’, a three-room private suite located at the front of the upper deck of every new Etihad Airways A380 that boast an array of lavish facilities including living room, separate bedroom and an en-suite bathroom.

Air France was founded in 1933 and has grown to become one of the world’s biggest airlines.
